When You Succeed, We Succeed
Our fee structures reflect the conviction in our abilities to deliver results.
Why Our Fee Structure is Different
For our accredited clients, we offer an innovative fee structure that aligns us and our clients to the same goals: consistency in returns and diligence in managing risk.
We believe in a fee structure that incorporates performance because we have confidence in our approach, are accountable for your results, and are fully committed to your success.
You Choose How You Work with Us
We believe that you should have choices when it comes to how you compensate your wealth management team.
Traditional Fee Structure
We know that many clients are most comfortable with a simple fee structure based on the assets that are managed by an investment firm. We can provide our full suite of services – portfolio management, financial planning and most additional private investment analysis required – for a flat, competitive rate.
Success Fees
For clients that prefer a more incentive-based model, we created a structure that gives us “skin-in-the-game”, for both good performance and poor performance.
We start with a below-average base fee that includes all of our wealth planning services. For portfolio management services, we receive performance-based incentives if calendar-year returns exceed a predefined return hurdle depending your individual financial plan and risk tolerance. In addition, if your portfolio declines more than a specified level on a given year, we reduce our fees by 20% for the next calendar year.*
Planning-Only Fees
Many business owners and investors have non-liquid investment portfolios that cannot be actively managed, or prefer index investing over active management. So we offer a set-dollar structure for clients only interested in our personal wealth management plans and/or our business consulting services. Fees are determined by the scope of your financial planning needs.
*Success/Performance/Incentive fees are for qualified clients as defined by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Fees are subject to a high-water-mark for applicable period. “Portfolio Profits” means, with respect to a billing period (i.e., calendar year or calendar month), the realized and unrealized profits of a Portfolio account minus the realized and unrealized losses incurred in a Portfolio account plus any dividends and interest determined after calculation and assessment of all expenses payable by the Client for the period. Performance Fees will be subject to a loss carry forward provision (i.e., a “high watermark”) so that no Performance Fee will be paid until all prior losses with respect to the Portfolio have been recouped for the applicable period.
