Jim Denholm, CMT
As founder and CEO, Jim Denholm created IronBridge to assist clients on their paths to financial success. Every aspect of IronBridge was developed with a client-first mindset. Jim’s unique background includes a Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and nearly two decades spent at large investment firms (JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo).
Jim serves on various boards, including the First Tee of Greater Austin, the Austin Symphony and is a member of the Texas Exes Investment Committee. He lives in Austin with his wife, two boys and two large Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Jim is an avid golfer, and enjoys all that Austin has to offer.
Gwen Henson, CFP(R)
Director of Financial Planning
Gwen Henson believes that an effective financial plan is the cornerstone of a successful investment strategy. Gwen is responsible for delivering comprehensive wealth planning strategies to IronBridge clients, and also helps deliver the highest level of personal service and enhancing the overall client experience.
Gwen has been in the financial services industry since 2003 and holds a psychology degree from the University of Minnesota. Gwen lives in Austin with her husband John and rescue dog Tori. She loves to stay active and travel the world, and has visited Europe, the Middle East, Far East, India and South America.
Chad Karnes, MBA, CMT
Chief Investment Officer
Chad implements the proprietary investments strategies for IronBridge clients. His background includes work as a deep-value analyst at a successful hedge fund, corporate finance at GE, and a senior manager for for an Austin-based finance/accounting firm.
Chad helps run the Austin Market Technician Association, promoting market education and disciplined, systematic approaches to the markets. In his spare time he enjoys spending as much time outdoors with his wife and two sons, alongside their Siberian Huskies, Denali and Yukon. He enjoys traveling, snowboarding, running, and playing soccer.
Bill’s role on the team is to act as relationship manager and trusted advisor for many of IronBridge’s high net worth clients. Bill’s 40+ years in banking and wealth management make him an excellent resource to help IronBridge clients analyze loan structures and help coordinate a client’s entire wealth team.
Bill, and his wife Rita, moved to Austin in 1984 where they have both been actively involved in their community. Bill has served on numerous charitable boards to include the Austin Museum of Art, Eanes Education Foundation, Downtown Austin Alliance, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and most recently, the Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center. Bill and Rita cherish the fact that their two adult children both live here in Austin with their two grandchildren.
Douglas Zullo, MBA, CFP(R)
Doug provides holistic financial planning for IronBridge clients, and recommends advanced risk management and life insurance strategies. Doug has worked as a managing partner of an Austin-based insurance firm, where he advised large institutions, individuals and other professionals, and led the company through a successful acquisition
Doug earned his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and holds a business degree from the University of Colorado. Doug enjoys giving his time to vulnerable segments of our population, and has volunteered with several non-profit agencies including Community Tax Centers at Foundation Communities, the Financial Planning Association, and Junior Achievement. Outside of work, Doug enjoys cycling, running on Town Lake, hiking, snow sports, and travel.
